Waiting Area Patient Tracker
This subprogram is used to notify service providers that they have patients in the waiting area, add them to a wait queue, and notify the next provider all in one continuous process. It also keeps track of patients' wait time and status.

Assign Roles for Team Members and Manage Providers List
Assign roles for your team members, manage your providers database and setup ASCOM notifications if applicable.
- Assign each team member with roles like Administrator, Registration or Staff. This will determine the type of toolbar that shows up automatically as Infosys loads.
- Add providers to the list for patient notifications.
- Set ASCOM Extensions for each provider if applicable.
Add Patients to Patient Tracker with the Registration Check In Toolbar
Registration Staff can check patients in using the Registration Check In Toolbar, which will alert service providers that they have patients waiting for them in designated waiting areas.
- Add patients to providers’ queue with a few simple steps.
- Easily add comments or notes while checking patients in.
- Scheduled check-in process to complete check in at a specific time.
- Long Wait Time Alert is an optional feature that alerts registration staff if expected wait time is over 15 minutes.
- Keeps a log of checked-in patients for the current user.
- View patients’ check-in status with a click of a button.
Manage Patients Queue with the Nurse or Staff Toolbar
With the Patient Tracker for Staff, you can manage your patients’ queue, room or reschedule patients, setup notification settings and check patients out so they can be checked in to the next provider if applicable.
- View your patients’ queue, their next stop (if any), wait time and status.
- Check out patients from your list. The system will automatically notify the next provider if applicable.
- Mark your patients as ‘Preparing’ or ‘Roomed’.
- Audible alarm for new patients added to the queue.
- Change the patient’s order of providers.
- Optional notification by text messaging or to your ASCOM extension.

Waiting Room Status Summary lets you view the list of patients in the waiting area, time they got checked in, total wait time, and the provider they’re in the queue in.
Generate a Waiting Room Summary for Patients and Providers
Generate a report showing your patients’ average wait and visit time within your specified date range.
- Monitor your patients’ time spent in the waiting area from the time they got checked in to the time they completed their visit.
- Easy to view table showing the date of service, patient’s name, check-in time, total wait time and their total visit time per provider.
- Generate a provider report showing the number of patients seen, average wait and visit time for each patient.
