My OTC Meds
This subprogram is a medication purchasing tool for hospitals that lets their employees order over the counter (OTC) or non-prescription medications for the pharmacy to fulfill and payments processed by salary deduction.

Program Features
Employees can View and Manage Previously Placed Orders
Employees can manage their pending orders under this tab and view previously fulfilled and completed orders.
- View details of previously placed orders including order total, order number and list of OTC medications.
- Edit or cancel orders that are still pending.
Easily Place New Orders with the OTC Med Order Form
By clicking the ‘New Order’ button, the New OTC Med Order Form will show for employees to place their orders.
- Keyword description filter helps you find OTC meds quicker.
- Backordered items are highlighted with a pink background.
- Add items to your shopping cart, adjust order quantities and view your order summary.
- If the OTC medication you need is not listed, employees can send in a request to the pharmacy so they can be added to the database.
- When an order is submitted, pharmacy will receive an email notification that a new order was placed. Pharmacy will then place the order on the supplier’s website.
Fulfill Orders Once Shipment is Received from the Supplier
Notify employees and mark orders as ‘fulfilled’ once delivery from the supplier is received.
- Easily mark orders as ‘fulfilled’. Employee will automatically be notified by email that their order is ready for pickup.
- Customizable email notifications to show relevant details like pickup location and time.
- Order details can be printed and attached to the order as a packing slip.
- Manually remove out-of-stock items from the employee’s order by editing or cancelling the order.
View OTC Med Requests sent by Employees
Employees can send requests for OTC meds to be added to the database.
- View requests sent by employees for OTC meds to be added to the med list if they’re not found.
- Email notifications will be sent to the requesting employee after the request is approved or denied.
Manage Your OTC Meds Database
Easily add, edit and delete items from your OTC meds database.
- Setup OTC meds with ease and add relevant information like generic and brand names, dosage, quantity per unit, item number, price, fulfillment days and additional comments.
Manage Your Backordered OTC Meds List
Let employees know if there are backordered items in your OTC med database.
- Add or remove items from your backordered med list.
- Backordered items will be highlighted pink on the OTC Med Order Form.
Process Employee Payments after Orders are Fulfilled
After orders are fulfilled, it is up to the designated supervisor to process fulfilled orders and generate salary deduction reports.
- Select one or multiple orders to process.
- View order and cost details of fulfilled orders.
- Payment requests are generated after orders are processed.
- Payment requests may contain one or more orders from different employees.
View the Payment Requests Database
View or print generated salary deduction reports after processing fulfilled orders.
- All payment requests are permanently stored in the database.
- View or print payment requests from the data table.
View Summary Reports of Medications Ordered and Orders Placed by Each Employee
Generate a purchase report for your specified date range.
- Itemized list of your OTC med database with total orders placed and revenue generated.
- Summary of purchases made by each employee and total amount spent.
View your Complete Orders Report
View the complete list of all orders placed by employees including the status of each order.
- Easily view all orders placed by employees within your specified date range.
Assign Roles for Logged in Users
Add security privileges to certain users depending on their roles.
- Only authorized users will be allowed access to certain parts of the subprogram. If they are unauthorized, buttons will be grayed out.
- Assign roles for fulfilling orders, processing payments, generating reports and managing settings.
